The three-day Indian Power Stations (IPS-2025) Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Conference, organized by NTPC, concluded on February 15, 2025, with a grand celebration featuring the distribution of Technogalaxy Awards to the winners. The conference was marked by impressive technical discussions, networking opportunities, and an exhibition that showcased the latest innovations in the power industry. A key highlight of the event was the Technogalaxy exhibition, which hosted a total of 59 stalls, including 43 from the vendor category and 16 from NTPC. The exhibition featured cutting-edge products and services, receiving high praise from the power professionals who attended.
The event was attended by several distinguished dignitaries, including Shri Ravindra Kumar, Director (Operations), Shri P K Mishra, Regional Executive Director (Western Region-II & Ash Ni), Shri A K Manohar, Executive Director-Operations Services, Shri U H Gokhe, Executive Director (USSC), and the Jury members. During the concluding session, the dignitaries presented the Technogalaxy winners’ trophies in the NTPC category to Eastern Region-II, Bhubaneswar, which emerged as the winner of the prestigious award. Additionally, NTPC Western Region-II, Nava Raipur, was awarded the second prize, while NTPC Mining Limited received the third prize. These awards recognized outstanding performance and innovation in the field of power generation and operations within NTPC.
Furthermore, in the Vendor category, the Technogalaxy trophies were awarded to M/s Gubbi Civil Engineering, M/s Janyu Tech, and M/s Mist Resonance for securing the first, second, and third positions, respectively. These companies were recognized for their exceptional contributions to the industry, and their innovative solutions were appreciated by the technical experts and professionals in attendance.
One of the defining features of the IPS-2025 conference was the impressive participation in the research paper submissions. A total of 426 research papers were submitted across various categories, including 21 international papers, 143 national papers, and 262 NTPC-specific papers. These papers covered a wide range of topics, including advancements in power station operations, new technologies, and sustainability initiatives in the energy sector. A rigorous selection process resulted in 90 papers being chosen for presentation at the conference. Of these, 11 were international papers, 26 were national, and 53 came from NTPC. The selected papers highlighted the latest research and developments in the power sector and offered valuable insights into the future of energy production and management.
